Another beautiful day for camogie in Tooreen with Mayo taking on Donegal in the third round of the Tesco Minor Championship.
Mayo settled confidently into this game and led from the throw in to the final whistle. There was a consistent work rate from all players on the pitch on both teams and while Mayo had a lot of possession, Donegal had some great passages of play.

Mayo’s first touch and great finishing led to them being ahead by 4 goals and 4 points at the half time break.
Donegal worked hard throughout the match and the scoreline didn’t reflect the challenge that they put up to Mayo regularly throughout the match.
Mayo continued to work hard all round the pitch and created a lot of scoring opportunities, most of which they converted.

Mayo finish second to Cavan in Group 1 of the Tesco Minor C Championship. This guarantees them a semi-final match, most likely against Wicklow who finished top of Group 2.
Mayo: R. Lynskey, C. Bourke, A. Crawley, Eabha Delaney, E. Kelly (2-2), A. Doherty (0-1 – 45′), C. Delaney, F. McLaughlin (2-4), L. Keane (1-3), L. Greally (0-2), R. Lambert, E. Geraghty (3-3), K. Tener (1-0), A. Lynskey, L. Flanagan.
Subs: Molly Tunney for Laura Flanagan, Meabh Tunney for Caoimhe Delaney & Laura Flanagan for Aoife Doherty
