In our first year fielding an adult team in a long time, their performances have been fantastic and all the hard work and commitment shown by all the players has culminated in a place in the 2021 Nancy Murray Cup Final. Read on to remember how they got there.
Round 1 – Donegal V Mayo – 24th July 2021
Result: Donegal 1.01 Mayo 7.27

Despite what seemed like a very one sided affair, a spirited Donegal side brought the best out of Mayo, who were intent on securing victory despite the intense heat and journey in excess of 3 hours. Defensively, Mayo were solid and in control from start to finish. Their midfield pairing covered a lot of ground, ensuring a plentiful supply of ball in to a forward line who caused all kinds of trouble for their opposite numbers.

Round 2 – Mayo V Tyrone – 14th August 2021
Result: Mayo 3.09 Tyrone 1.06

Both Mayo and Tyrone had recorded solid victories against Donegal in advance of this final group game. Having already acquitted themselves well in the league, it was anticipated that Saturday’s pairing would be a closely fought affair. It certainly didn’t disappoint.

Semi Final – Mayo V Louth
Result: W/O Given to Mayo
Unfortunately Louth were unable to fulfill their fixture at very late notice and so Mayo were awarded a walk over.
